I'm guessing since you're being vauge that you're referring to LifeTank and Darkside Filter... am I correct in that assumption?

If so, then what you see is correct and that is because the version of LifeTank in which you are running is out of date and requires an update.

Getting the red Xs again after an update.. have gone through the uninstall steps, used the util to download the XML instead of the update button and still having the problem. On decal load I get..

The client versio ndoes not match the XML version, this may cause some plugins to malfunction.

that error is because the XML you're getting is not the correct one... regardless of how you download it.

If the FILE itself is being cached either by your machine or your ISP, then it doesn't really matter how many times to click "Update" or how you do it, it will keep grabbing that cached copy. (unless you manually download it through something like Firefox)

Hi sorry to trouble you.
Now have the red x problem.
On Decal start I get the following.

The client version does not match the XML version, this may cause some plugins to malfunction.

AC has worked fine, Decal was fine until the latest AC patch was downloaded yesterday(July).
Im not aware that anything else has changed, even Windows auto updates are off.I have clean installed Decal, same effect. I have been in game without Decal after the patch.


I have tried the update from within Decal, which worked till this AC patch day.
Now it downloads and updates the xml date.Red xs remain. On restarting Decal the same error is present.
I have manually downloaded all of the files from http://update.decaldev.com/ and pasted them in the Decal folder and over written the existing.
All of the files AC and Decal are not marked as read-only, protected storage is auto and started.

Can you shed any ideas please, an export is below. Thankyou.

As a footnote on a seperate computer running Win Xp pro Sp2, which is via the same internet connection I now have the same error, and the same conditions.This was fine till AC July patch was downloaded and installed today.Prior to this all was fine.

The new memlocs haven't come out yet for the new patch.
Decal is still downloading the previous files/memlocs and it seems as it is patching with the "latest" but it's not.
Once they release the new memlocs and your update should show you a higher # then 0.0.11.2189

OK, Followed anything and everything Fresh Clean install of both AC and Decal. All things I have tried have failed. It worked yesterday. Computer shutdown for night. Came back today after uninstalling a few misc. Programs last night. An Now ALL Red X's No clue why. anyway here are the Exports etc.
